January 24, 2025 – Ionia Correctional Facility (ICF) – Staff Assault

While escorting a prisoner to the shower, a corrections officer suffered a concussion after the prisoner slipped out of restraints and lunged toward another individual. One officer hit his head on a door frame or the concrete floor and was taken to the hospital for treatment.
