7/6/24 – Staff Assault (#1) – Chippewa Correctional Facility

At 1858 hours, while attempting to place Prisoner into hand restraints, the prisoner struck Officer A in the left face with his fist. The Prisoner was placed on the ground and restraints applied. Prisoner was placed in the transportation chair and brought to Steamboat Center Intake Module without further incident. Officer A is being transported to MMC by Sgt. B for evaluation.

Warden C reports CO A has a cut around his eye area.
