January 21, 2025 – Marquette Branch Prison (MBP) – Staff Assault

Two prisoners assaulted three corrections officers, striking them in the head and torso. One of the prisoners had two weapons, though they were not used during the incident. As a result of the attack, one officer suffered a broken nose while another required stitches for a leg injury. The Michigan State Police were notified and arrived at the scene.
