1/4/2025 – Corrections Officer struck in the head multiple times by a prisoner at Alger Correctional Facility (LMF)

At 0911 hours Level IV prisoner A assaulted CO A by punching him several times in the head and back of head area. CO A was bringing contraband down the wing from shaking down his cell and prisoner became upset. CO A was sent to MMH via ambulance at 0946 hours.  Preliminary thought is the contraband may have been spud juice.

Facility will be requesting a transfer.
