1/30/24 Update on hybrid pension legislation

This afternoon an email and text was sent to all of you that contains a link to send a letter to your state Senator that asks him or her to support and vote in favor of our hybrid pension bills. The Senate Labor Committee has moved the bills to the Senate floor for consideration, and now that they are back in full session it is our time to begin our membership wide push to get these Senators to pay attention to these bills and support them. The link is quick and easy, all you have to do is enter your personal information and click send and it will automatically go to the Senator in your district. WE NEED ALL MEMBERS to send these letters. This is the first phase of our push, and it will be followed by another phase for the House bills once they move the bills out of their Labor Committee to the House floor for consideration. I’m just going to keep it real with all of you, historically we have struggled to get anywhere near the entire membership to participate in these actions. Now is the time for absolute solidarity and participation. Please take the time to send this letter.
