Today is the anniversary of the death of Officer Earl DeMarse.

Officer DeMarse was stabbed to death by a prisoner at Marquette Branch Prison. Earl DeMarse was a veteran Officer who served the Michigan Department of Corrections for 26 years and was stabbed 15 minutes into his shift.
