Fallen Officers’ Memorial Committee chooses design, sets sights on 2017 reveal

Here’s a sneak peek of the Fallen Officers’ Memorial!

Please note, the photo at right is an example. The committee, which includes active and retired members, selected this three-panel design.

Our goal is to unveil the memorial in a formal ceremony during Correctional Officers Week 2017.

The memorial will be located in front of the MCO Central Office on Kalamazoo Street in downtown Lansing. Many people will pass by it and be reminded of the dangerous work corrections officers do every day to keep the public safe. You truly have Michigan’s toughest job.
